How far would your friends go for you?
This is the heart of "The North Point Boys." Dave Baker returns home to find his wife and step-daughter slain. Dave comes close to being murdered himself. A suspect is identified and the manhunt was on, but by a strange twist of fate, the real killer is apprehended, tried and found guilty and sent to prison. Upon appeal a retrial is granted. Dave must endure the horrors of yet another trial, but his life-long friends have other plans. On the day the killer was to be transferred back to jail, a shot rings out.
Will comaraderie and loyalty stand the test of time? Can a sleepy California town withstand the maelstrom of a murder trial?
Two-and-a-half years after the murders, Dave, by chance, meets his high school sweetheart. Diane returns home to visit her ill father and incidently meets Dave at the bank. Ten years had passed between them. Clearly they were attracted to each other.
